Refund Policy

Important Note

Please read this entire refund policy for the details of full refunds, account credits, and replacement merchandise.

 

Notice of Right to Cancel

The FTC requires that we show you the following notice before you place your order: “You, the buyer, may cancel this transaction at any time prior to midnight of the third business day after the date of this transaction. See the section below under Qualifying Cancellation for an explanation of this right.” Note that once you view any part of a module you have purchased, you are waiving your right to cancel, as explained below.

 

Qualifying Cancellations

Due to the nature of our courses and modules, we are unable to provide any refund or account credit for a module that you have viewed or accessed in any way, even with the FTC’s rule as noted above.

You may be eligible for a Qualifying Cancellation if all of the following are true:

  • You are within the time limits listed in this refund policy when you request a refund, and
  • You email us at info@slc-academy.com to request your cancellation and refund, and
  • In the case of modules, you have not viewed or accessed a module that you purchased with us in any way.

To ensure a timely response, your email must include your name, your order number, and a list of the items you want to have refunded.

If you do not meet one or more of the above conditions, you do not have a Qualifying Cancellation. Please call us at 503-476-1181 or email info@slc-academy.com if you have any questions or concerns regarding your cancellation qualifications.

Qualifying Cancellations made before midnight of the third business day after the date of your purchase may be eligible for a refund to your original payment method. Qualifying Cancellations made after that time, but within fifteen (15) days after the date of your purchase may be eligible for a refund in the form of an account credit to be used on a future order with us.

Any refund or account credit for a Qualifying Cancellation will be issued within ten (10) days after you request the cancellation and refund in writing according to the terms above.

 

Refunds

Note that refunds to your original payment method may not reflect in your account immediately, depending on your financial institution’s policies. Once we have processed your refund, you will receive an email notifying you of the refund.

If 6 or more business days have elapsed since you received the email notifying you of your pending refund, please check with your financial institution or card provider. If they do not show a pending credit to your account, you can contact us at info@slc-academy.com for further questions.

 

Account Credits

If we issue an account credit for any canceled purchase, that credit is good for one year from the date of issue. Active account credits used for any purchase are treated “same as cash” and may be combined with any discounts or promotions that may be active at the time of your new purchase.

 

Courses and Modules

Courses and Modules are generally available as soon as your payment has been processed. Due to the nature of these items, once you view any part of a module you have purchased, that module is no longer eligible for a refund or account credit.

 

Merchandise

Merchandise that you purchase will generally be shipped around seven (7) to ten (10) business days after you place your order. Please inspect all merchandise promptly upon receipt, and please photograph any damaged packages before you open them. Such photos will help us to file a claim if anything should arrive damaged, so you can get a replacement shipped out sooner. Please email us promptly at info@slc-academy.com if any merchandise should arrive damaged, so that we can file a timely claim for it and ship your replacement.

Please note that merchandise orders can be refunded fully if you follow the rules for Qualifying Cancellations above and request such refunds before midnight on the third business day after you make your purchase.

We will notify you promptly about any order for merchandise that is delayed or not in stock for a reason beyond our control. If this happens, you may be eligible for an extended refund window, if desired.
